The Appalachian Trail runs 32.2 miles from ME Hwy 4 to ME Hwy 27. Along the way it passes the Piazza Rock Lean-to, Saddleback Mountain, The Horn, Saddleback Junior, the Poplar Ridge Lean-to, the Spaulding Mountain Lean-to, Spaulding Mountain, Sugarloaf Mountain, the Caribou Valley Road, South Crocker Mountain, Crocker Mountain, and Stony Brook Mountain.
